RFID Gates, Everything you need to know

As most Maine ski resorts make the switch to use RFID technology, this can be confusing to some. We want to make sure you know everything you need to know before heading out onto the snow.

Is your pass not scanning?

If your pass isn’t scanning at the gates, ask yourself these questions.

• Is the pass on the left side of my body?
• Do I have more than just the RFID card in my pocket?
• Is the pass at chest level? The orange part is scanner.
• Did you reload your pass online without seeing the ticket office?

Sometimes, when you reload the pass online, the system never activated the card, rendering it unable to scan. Make sure to see the ticket office to make sure the card is active.
