There isn’t a better way to get a great view of the mountains you ski than getting on a ski lift and catching some great views. Let the chairlift do the hard part of getting you up the mountain so you only need to worry about what you do once you’re at the top!

Useful Tips:

• The top of the mountain is typically 15 degrees colder than the base, so be sure to bring a warm layer.
• Weather can change quickly and without warning, so be prepared.
• The line at the top to load the chair can be long, so be sure to account for the extra time. Remember, the last chair is permanent, so plan accordingly.

Saddleback

Take a ride on The Rangeley Quad on Saturday and Sunday throughout September and October. The lift operates under the following hours:

Saturday/Sunday: 9:00am – 4:00pm Last Chair: 3:45pm

Get off and go to Brunch at The Nest on Sundays or hike up to the summit. $25 allows unlimited access so you can take as many laps on the lift as you want. People with next year’s season pass can ride for free. Lift tickets are required, and lift access is weather-dependent.

Sugarloaf

Take a seat on Sugarloaf’s Whiffletree Quad for scenic lift rides Friday through Sunday throughout the summer and fall. The lift operates under the following hours:

Friday/Saturday: 10:00am – 6:00pm Last Chair: 5:55pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm Last Chair: 3:55pm

They use the Outpost Adventure Center to manage tickets and book your trip. Sugarloaf also offers free rides on Homecoming weekend as part of their welcome home weekend on the SuperQuad. Guests with next year’s season pass ride for free all summer long!

Sunday River

Last Chair: 3:45pm

Sunday River uses the Chondola for all uphill travel throughout the summer and fall. The Chondola will be spinning 11:00am – 4:00pm Saturdays and Sundays all summer long. The lift is dog, kid, and grandparent friendly so bring the whole family! Lift tickets will be issued until 3:30PM or until capacity is reached. Once you arrive at the top, you can access hiking trails, or amazing views of Sunday River’s 9 peaks and beyond. If anything becomes an issue while out and about, please contact Patrol at (207)-824-5350 or visit our First Aid Clinic at the bottom of the South Ridge Lodge next to Betty’s Treats and Treasures.

Pleasant Mountain

Last Chair: 3:30pm

Pleasant Mountain will be spinning their Summit Express on select Saturdays and Sundays throughout the fall. The lift will be spinning from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Please note, the last ride up is at 3:00pm. This year’s dates are as follows:

BigRock Mountain

BigRock is running their Sunrise Quad for scenic lift rides in early October. The lift has different hours depending on the day, so all dates and times for this year is below.

Tickets can be purchased on the day of arrival. No pets are allowed on the chair. Appropriate walking or hiking footwear is a must. Riders must be able to get off the lift at the top and walk down the steps. Option to reload and ride the chairlift back down or hike down. Each ride is approx. 30-minutes, one way.

Camden Snow Bowl

Last Chair: 1:30pm

Camden Snow Bowl will be spinning their triple for Sundays in October. The lift will be spinning from 10:00am – 2:00pm. This year’s dates are as follows:

Tickets can be purchased on the day of arrival. No pets are allowed on the chair. Appropriate walking or hiking footwear is a must. Riders must be able to get off the lift at the top and walk down the steps. Option to reload and ride the chairlift back down or hike down. Each ride is approx. 25-minutes, one way.
