U.S. National Toboggan Championship:

February Vacation Week is coming up and we want you to make the most out of the break by filling your calendar with events at every mountain. Winterfest At Lost Valley:
Winterfest is happening tonight at Lost Valley. Watch the torchlight parade and see the fireworks sponsored by Maine Community Bank starting at 9:00pm. For more information about this event, click the link below.

The latest thing to hit the merch store is prints. We offer them just as it or framed. Check out the print shop today!

Lollipop Race:
Calling all kids 12 and under, Every Sunday at Saddleback, the Saddleback Ski School will be hosting the event. From 1-2, the gates will be open for racing followed by awards on the deck. contact the Ski School desk to sign up. The race takes place on skiers right of Royal Tiger, just below the Rangeley Chair. WinterKids Downhill 24:
It’s not too soon to start talking about the 13th. Annual WinterKids Downhill 24 at Sugarloaf. The event happens on February 27 and 28. For more information, to register, or donate, click the link below! Best of luck to anyone competing!

Statewide Lift Construction:
Across the state, there are three mountains that are installing chairlifts. Pleasant Mountain is installing a refurbished Doppelmayr High-Speed Quad, BigRock Mountain is installing a new Doppelmayr Quad, and Lost Valley is installing a used Hall Double Chair.
Pleasant Mountain:
As of Sun, December 22
On Sunday, Pleasant Mountain opened the lift to the public. While the official ribbon cutting ceremony is happening tomorrow, you can still ride the new lift and enjoy the faster ride to the top.

BigRock Mountain:
As of Sat, December 21
On Saturday, BigRock opened the Sunrise Quad. This new quad is a gamechanger to the area.

Lost Valley:
As of Tues, January 28
On Tuesday, Lost Valley posted photos and videos showing the first chair on the new lift.

Last Chair:
This past week we saw some great skiing, albeit cold, it was great to see new snow (and not from the HKD sticks). Good news is that the new snow is continuing and we can see anywhere from 4-9 during this storm. Keep doing those snow dances, Mainely Skiers!
Weather:
While we’re looking at some colder temps this weekend, the incoming snow should help make things feel a little warmer. It’s still a good idea to check in with those around you and take breaks often when skiing with little ones. Check in with the Mountain Lift Status page to stay in the loop with current lifts.
