4,000 Foot Hikes:
Maine is home to 14, 4,000-foot peaks, Saddleback Mountain is lucky enough to be nestled right in the heart of the county containing 10 of these peaks. Come meet up with other like-minded hikers who wish to complete these 4,000-foot peaks. Let the Saddleback Adventure guides do all the trip planning and organizing to get you to the top of one or more of these high peaks to enjoy the sense of accomplishment and beauty found in the mountains. These hikes are very challenging and arduous; hikers will need to be competent with good physical stamina. This Sunday’s hike: West Peak & Avery Peak.
Scenic Lift Rides:
Before summer started, we talked about various mountains offering lift rides throughout the off-season. Sunday River has picked it up again with rides up/down the Chondola to North Peak. The Chondola is dog, kid, and grandparent-friendly, so you’ll want to pack up your whole family for this scenic adventure. Lift rides are available from 10AM-4PM on Saturdays and Sundays from early July to mid-October. You can buy tickets online in advance, but will need to pick up your tickets upon arrival. You can also purchase tickets on-site at South Ridge Lodge. Lift tickets will be issued until 3:30PM or until capacity is reached. If you plan to ride the lift back to the bottom, please load before 4PM. For more information, visit the link below.
Saddleback Mountain Biking:
The Saddleback Mountain Bike Trails are coming along great! We currently do not have a set date on when these trails will be open or if they will be available for riding for 2021 but we can assure you they will be amazing!
As it stands now, both today and tomorrow look like good days! Get outside and do something!
