Welcome to the Mainely Skiing Summer Email! This email will be sent straight to your inbox whenever we release new emails. In this email, we will highlight all the summer activities in or around the Rangeley Area!

Cupsuptic T-Bar:
Why is it always when the information needed comes out the day of when you need it? Well, in case you missed it, Saddleback received their new towers for the brand new t-bar. The team got them into place and this is starting to take shape! See other photos by clicking the link. And, while you’re there, consider following to keep up with all things Saddleback.

Mountain Pond Hike With Andy:
Update: This Is Now Full.
Join the Saddleback Adventures team and Andy Shepard, Saddleback General Manager on a hike of the Mountain Pond Trail on this Saturday, August 28th. This trail is a moderate out and back to Mountain Pond, with a gradual climb all the way to the top along old dirt and gravel roads with some dirt trail mixed in. A great hike for those looking to see birds and enjoy the mountain’s remote body of water just down the road from Rangeley Lake. Andy and his wife Betsey look forward to hiking with you! Read all about it below.

Scenic Lift Rides:
Before summer started, we talked about various mountains offering lift rides throughout the off-season. Sunday River has picked it up again with rides up/down the Chondola to North Peak. The Chondola is dog, kid, and grandparent-friendly, so you’ll want to pack up your whole family for this scenic adventure. Lift rides are available from 10AM-4PM on Saturdays and Sundays from early July to mid-October. You can buy tickets online in advance, but will need to pick up your tickets upon arrival. You can also purchase tickets on-site at South Ridge Lodge. Lift tickets will be issued until 3:30PM or until capacity is reached. If you plan to ride the lift back to the bottom, please load before 4PM. For more information, visit the link below.

Weather:
Woah! What a week! While most of Maine saw temps around the 80’s, the mountains experienced 90’s. With school sports starting up, this definitely doesn’t feel like we are going towards the fall direction. Thankfully, this weekend’s forecast looks like we will be able to cool down a little bit before it gets right back up there!
