Kids Bike Group Trip:
Saddleback’s bike trails are located in the South Branch area of the lower mountain. These gradually sloped trails include sections great for beginner riders. This weekly kid’s program will work on the transition from pavement riding to gravel and downhill biking. This program will run from June 2nd through the Thursday before Labor Day weekend.
- BYOB – Bring Your Own Bike, or arrange to rent from the mountain.
- Children will need to be registered and a waiver will be signed by a parent or guardian. Drop-ins are welcome, but participation requires a signed waiver.

This summer, Saddleback will be hosting a range of yoga classes taught by various certified yoga instructors. See the list below for the difference in classes. To see what class fits your busy life, click over to our Events Page

Bike Shops:
We all know the supply chain is a little slow these days. Sometimes getting the item you want at the right time is a struggle. On the bright side, most Maine bike shops are filled with inventory and ready to get you onto a new bike! In the market for some new wheels? Stop by your local shop and see what they have. Their numbers might surprise you! After all, mountain biking is on the rise in Maine – jump on the trend early!
Saddleback Webcams:
Have you visited the Saddleback Webcams? With three cameras scattered across the mountain, you’re guaranteed to get the best sunset. You can go back in time if you missed the best part. While you can catch some pretty amazing sunsets, you also are able to watch crews working. You can see some prospecting stakes for the new Sandy Quad. Click the link below to watch them get ready for the summer season!

Nature Walk and Geocaching:
Are your kids itching to get out of the house? Maybe some geocaching is in their future! Or, something for the whole family, a good ol’ walk in our back yard! Whatever you fancy, Saddleback has your outdoor goals. As the time gets closer, we’ll go into more detail.
- Nature Walk – Every Saturday starting May 28 Click here
- Geocaching – Every Sunday starting May 29 Click here

Height of Land Vandalism:
While I like to keep these emails positive, vandalism has been a hot topic in the Rangeley area in recent years. The overlook gold plaque was stolen and destroyed last summer. Sadly, to start this summer season, vandals have cut down the information kiosk at the Shelton Noyes Overlook in Rangeley. If you know anything about this horrible act, please Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at (207) 778-2680.

Weather:
As this week sent us cooler weather. We’re looking at thundershowers throughout the day on Saturday with the sun coming back out on Sunday! It’s shaping up to be a great weekend for those pre-summer activities.
Day: | Friday: | Saturday: | Sunday: |
High: | 78 | 68 | 71 |
Low: | 60 | 46 | 51 |
Have a happy & safe Memorial Day!
