Sunday River Is Open:
On Wednesday, Sunday River opened for the season. They tied with Killington for the first resort to open in New England. They opened with their Locke Mountain Triple providing access to T2 through the mid-station. Snowmaking will be continuing through the weekend with hopes of getting more terrain open as soon as possible. Read their mountain report below.
Snowbound Expo:
The Snowbound Expo is happening this weekend in Boston. Visit the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center on the following dates and times to explore the expo.
Friday November 14th: 2:30pm – 8:00pm
Saturday November 15th: 10:00am – 7:00pm
Sunday November 16th: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Dinner, Silent & Live Auction at BMOM:
Join Black Mountain of Maine as they gear up and fundraise for the upcoming ski season at their annual Dinner, Silent & Live Auction. On Saturday, November 15, the base lodge will be buzzing with lots of activities. More info on the auction coming later. Learn more below.
Yarmouth Ski Club Ski Swap:
On Saturday, November 15, visit the William H. Rowe School 52 School Street in Yarmouth for the Yarmouth Ski Club’s annual Ski Swap. The swap takes place from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Learn more and sign up to volunteer at the event using the link below.
Camden Snow Bowl Open House:
Join the friendly staff at Camden Snow Bowl this Sunday from 3-6pm at their lodge for a celebration of the season to come! Meet the staff, sign up for programs, and purchase your season pass. Food, drink and raffle prizes await. Learn more below.
Pleasant Mountain Sunnyside Update:
Recently, Pleasant Mountain received delivery of a new haul rope for their Sunnyside Triple Chair. In the coming weeks, crews will splice the new cable together and get it installed. Read the full post and see all the photos by clicking the link below.
Junior Ski Boot Swap At Big Moose:
If you want to exchange your child’s outgrown ski boots for a larger size or pick up a lightly used pair for $35, head up to Big Moose Mountain on Saturday, November 22. Merchandise and lift ticket bundle deals also available. While you’re in Greenville, don’t miss the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train which will be in Greenville Junction at approximately 6:30pm. Thanksgiving Dinner At Sunday River:
Join Sunday River around the table for a lovely Thanksgiving meal. The folks from Camp will be cooking a tasteful turkey with all the sides you could imagine. Happening from 12:00am-8:00pm, you can’t miss this!
Thanksgiving Buffet At 45 North:
Make your holiday memorable with 45 North’s Thanksgiving offerings. Join them for their traditional buffet featuring a chef-driven seasonal menu, or simplify your celebration with their convenient takeout option. Either way, you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with the people who matter most.
Mt. Jefferson – Cheapest Tickets In Maine:
Mt. Jefferson is offering tickets for $30 (adult rate) this season. Season passes are $259 (adult rate) and they are actively looking for volunteers to help run the mountain. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer, click the link below.
Santa Sunday:
Join Sunday River and over 200 other Santas as they cruise down South Ridge to support a great cause. Santa Sunday is on Sunday, December 14 and all the proceeds go to the River Fund, a non-profit organization that supports youth education and recreation in the Bethel area. Opening Weekend At Sugarloaf:
Sugarloaf is currently planning on welcoming the skiers of Maine back to their slopes on Friday, November 21, sending the first chair up for their 75th season. Learn more and follow along with their mountain report below.
Downeast Ski Club Ski Sale & Winter Expo:
Head on down to the Portland Expo at Park Ave in Portland on November 29 for their annual Ski Sale & Winter Expo. The Doors open at 8:00am and the sale goes until 3:00pm. Admission is free and the deals can be had all day long. Learn more using the link below.

Last Chair:
On Wednesday, Sunday River officially opened to the public. Since then, cold temps have kept the snowmakers on the hill and have allowed their equipment to run continuously for a few days now with great conditions to make high-quality snow.
Weather:
Since Sunday River has opened, the cold temps are working in their favor. Sugarloaf has been making lots of progress on their opening as well. Finally, the crew from Saddleback geared up and started making snow on Tricolor. The good news is the cold weather will continue for a while, giving even better snowmaking conditions.
