WinterKids Family Day at Lost Valley

Vertical Challenge at Saddleback:
The Vertical Challenge is happening on Sunday, January 5 at Saddleback. This free event exposes skiers and riders to the world of racing. There’s something for everyone:
- Giant Slalom, 12 to 15 gates
- Male & female
- All ages
- Skiers & snowboarders
- Adaptive categories

Once Again Open:
All of our Maine mountains are back open! While we’re forecasting some not-so-frozen snow, they’re currently open. Keep an eye on the Resort Status page as things could change quickly.

Brand New Stickers:
Check out our brand new stickers now available on our website. These die-cut vinyl stickers are perfect for wherever you put stickers! See them along with the other lineup of stickers on our merch store.

Season Pass Sale:
All of the resorts have their 2024-25 season passes available for purchase. If you want the best deal with the best perks, you need to purchase now. Plus, look to see if purchasing a pass means you can ski the rest of this season with it! For all the pass info and pricing, click the link below.

Statewide Lift Construction:
Across the state, there are three mountains that are installing chairlifts. Pleasant Mountain is installing a refurbished Doppelmayr High-Speed Quad, BigRock Mountain is installing a new Doppelmayr Quad, and Lost Valley is installing a used Hall Double Chair.
Pleasant Mountain:
As of Sun, December 22
On Sunday, Pleasant Mountain opened the lift to the public. While the official ribbon cutting ceremony is happening tomorrow, you can still ride the new lift and enjoy the faster ride to the top.

BigRock Mountain:
As of Sat, December 21
On Saturday, BigRock opened the Sunrise Quad. This new quad is a gamechanger to the area.

Lost Valley:
As of Tues, December 31
On Tuesday, Lost Valley posted a video showing the first of the chairs getting hung on the line. With a goal of operating the lift for the public this season, they are chugging along.

This week saw some not-so-great weather but it looks like we’re out of that dark cloud 😉 and moving forward. All of our resorts we cover are once again open so check out the Resort Status page!
Weather:
We’re forecasting some cold, great-for-snowmaking weather this weekend. This should set the mountains up great for MLK weekend (Jan 17-20). Bundle up, Mainely Skiers! For those headed out this weekend, watch out for frostbite – especially on little ones! Take breaks often and check in with others around you.
