It’s Fat Tire Friday at Saddleback. Stop by and say hi to the folks from Fat Tire. They’ve brought the “wheel of swag” and are ready to hand out beer and prizes from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Visit them on the deck. Learn all about it with the link below.

$49 Ski Days:

Who doesn’t love a family ski day? L.L. Bean has partnered with various Maine mountain resorts to offer discounted lift tickets. Saddleback is offering $49 Lift Ticket Thursdays, happening every Thursday now until March 24th. For more information, click here

Lollipop Race:

Lollipop races are back! Calling all kids 12 and under, Every Sunday at Saddleback, the Rangeley Alpine Ski Club will be co-hosting this event with the Saddleback Ski School. From 1-2, the gates will be open for racing followed by awards on the deck. contact the Ski School desk to sign up. The race takes place on skiers right of Royal Tiger, just below the Rangeley Chair. Tune Up Tuesday:

Tune Up Tuesdays happen every Tuesday at Saddleback. Designed for people 50 and older, this 12 week course can offer a refresher or get more confidence while on skis. For more information, click the link below.

Big Rock:

Big Rock ski area is a small, family-friendly mountain located in Mars Hill. If you’ve ever skied there, you know the lift system is one like Saddleback before it closed. The main lift up the mountain is a double chair which is slow. The lifts around the base area have higher capacity than their own main lift up the mountain. Help the people of Mars Hill grow their mountain and bring it up to current lift standards. To learn more about their efforts and to donate, click the link below.

We’re in for a chilly one this weekend but that means snowmaking teams can get out there and do what they do best! You know you live in Maine when 15 degrees feels like a heatwave. Also, A BIG thank you to Connor, Kim, Thomas, and Zach for liking last week’s email! You guys are awesome.

Weather:

Bundle up for this weekend! We are expecting cold temps for most of the extended forecast. Stay warm with extra layers, hand warmers and even goggles. Yes, goggles can affect how you feel while out in the cold. Check out the lift status by clicking the link below!
