Welcome to April:

Happy April! Personally, I’m hoping we have a snowy april. The whole “April showers bring May flowers” thing needs to chill out… unless we’re talking snow showers! See the upcoming weather below.

Shawnee Peak:

This weekend is the final weekend for lift-served downhill skiing and riding at Shawnee Peak. Come out and ski in style. They have full snow cover on almost all their trails. Go and ski out the end of the 2021/22 ski season. Learn more below.

Spring Fest Weekend:

Join Sunday River for their end-of-season party. This event brings the beach to the mountains – a.k.a. the best of both worlds. Great food, music, and good times are to be had this weekend at the rivah!

Cardboard Box Race:

Join Saddleback this Saturday for the annual Cardboard Box Race. Tropical Luau is the theme! Prizes for the most creative on-theme box! Learn more below.

Timeline:

  • Free registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Guest Services Desk across from the ticket office.
  • The race starts at 12 p.m. on the Wheeler Slope.

Jordan 8:

Construction for the new Jordan 8 at Sunday River started this week – well, Monday to be exact. Along with the new lift, the construction also provides a redesign to the trail Kansas Trail. Learn all about the construction, click the link below to read the blog post.

Lollipop Race:

Calling all kids 12 and under, Every Sunday at Saddleback, the Rangeley Alpine Ski Club will be co-hosting this event with the Saddleback Ski School. From 1-2, the gates will be open for racing followed by awards on the deck. contact the Ski School desk to sign up. The race takes place on skiers right of Royal Tiger, just below the Rangeley Chair. Last Chair:

Mud Season is upon us! Whether we want it or not, it’s right around the corner. Please drive with caution when on dirt roads as spring conditions can make travel unsafe. Also, just a reminder, if the road gets muddy and unpassable, turn around – It’s not worth destroying a road and making it worse.

Weather:

We’ve really been having some strange weather events this early in the spring. Just hoping we can ski until late April! To make sure, check with the extended forecast via the Weather Channel. Also, check out the lift status by clicking the link below!
