Closing Day At Saddleback:

It’s closing weekend at Saddleback. Join the Saddleback Family for the last day of the season on Saturday, April 15, 2023. It’s been one heck of a season – let’s all come together for one last ride. Also, catch the closing day festivities happening throughout the day:

Saturday, April 15
  • WinterKids End Of Season Offers (All Day) – In celebration of a great season on the slopes, Saddleback is offering WinterKids app members 1 Free Junior lift ticket with a full-price adult ticket on Saturday, April 15th. This is the last day of the 22/23 winter season and your last chance to ski and ride at Saddleback this winter!
  • Enter To Win A LineX Cooler (All Day) – Enter to win a LineX Cooler stuffed with Saddleback Swag. The winner will be annoucned at 4pm and you must be present to win. May the odds be ever in your favor.
  • Mid Mountain Lodge Open House (11-2pm) – Come take a tour of the new Mid Mountain Lodge. While the Restaurant and Restrooms aren’t open, you still can get inside and check out what crews have been hard at work doing.
  • DJ Eric On The Deck (1-5pm) – DJ Eric will be spinning the tunes on the deck from 1 to 5 pm. Come bask in the sun and enjoy some great beats.

Closing Dates:

These warm temps sure are nice but it doesn’t help the snow pack. Take a look at the tentative closing dates for the big three.

Barker Lift Send-Off:

It’s the last hurrah! Join the Sunday River crew over on Barker Basin for the final send off. It’s the weekend of April 15-16 for final rides on the Barker Express. In addition, enter to win the chance to ride the final chair on the Barker Express, and take home a chair from the lift for yourself. For more information, click the link below.

BIG News From Sunday River:

Just announced – Two new lifts will be taking skiers and riders up the mountains of Sunday River. A new Merrill Hill Triple will access the back side of the mountain and add to the Real Estate options and ski-in, and ski-out house lots. Also, the most highly anticipated announcement, a brand new, Doppelmayr High-Speed, 6-Person Bubble chair will replace the Barker Mountain Express. Both lift upgrades are expected to open for the 2023-2024 ski season. For the latest on the Sunday River 2030 project, click the link below.

King Of The Mountain Hill Climb:

The King Of The Mountain Hill Climb is taking place on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22. This two-day event is presented by Hight Family of Dealerships, BOSS Power Equipment, and WIN Waste Innovations. There is no more spots available in any race. Spectators are welcome! Last Chair:

We’re in the final stretch of the 2022-23 ski season. Go get after it and make the most of the great conditions. Soak up the sun and enjoy the corn harvest. Just save some for the rest of us 😉

Weather:

Make sure to bust out the sunscreen – trust me, you’ll need it! We have endless sun on tap and the temps are looking more like summer temps. Get out there and make the most of it. Just be safe and apply sunscreen when needed.
