Oktoberfest – Saddleback:
Fall foliage, mountain views, live music, and a frosty pint? Come celebrate Oktoberfest at your favorite mountain! Saddleback, the Hight Family of Dealerships, and Bigelow Brewing Company present Oktoberfest with a performance from the Mallett Brothers Band on Saturday, October 9, 2021. The Hight Family of Dealerships just celebrated their 110th anniversary of doing business throughout Maine and to celebrate they’ve created a special release with Bigelow Brewing – Tin Can Sailor, a scotch ale. Homecoming – Sugarloaf:
Welcome Home, Sugarloafers! Reunite with your Sugarloaf family at the 2021 Homecoming Celebration, October 9-10. The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center be offering scenic lift rides, outdoor entertainment on the Beach, and plenty of fun activities for all ages. Come visit some of the UpCountry Artists Sugarloaf Art Show in the King Pine Room, and Sugarloaf’s restaurants and shops throughout the weekend. Hit the link to join the fun!

Fall Festival – Sunday River:
Scenic Lift Rides, Sunday River Sports Annual Sale, 22nd. Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship, A Tour of Merrill Hill, 7th. Annual New England Corn Hole Championship, and Live Music are all things you can experience at this two-day event. Happening October 9-10, if you’re in the area, stop by for a day of fun! Jordan 8:
Opening winter 2022-23, the Jordan 8 is Sunday River’s next milestone in the 2030 plan. As one of the most advanced chairlifts in the world and the fastest 8-person lift in North America, this Doppelmayr D-Line chairlift will feature eight ergonomically shaped, extra-wide heated seats, improved wind resistance, and the world’s first bubble in signature Sunday River Red. The Jordan 8 also introduces the exciting concept of what will become the Western Reserve, which includes Jordan Bowl, Oz, and future terrain expansion beyond.
This advanced high-speed eight-person lift is built by Doppelmayr, the leading lift manufacturing company. This lift will be similar to that of the Ramcharger 8 at Big Sky, Montana, and the new Kancamagus 8 being built at Loon, New Hampshire. With comfortable extra-wide heated seats, and Maine’s first 8-pack chairlift, this will be very special to Sunday River and it’s skiers. Read all about it by clicking the link below.
Scenic Lift Rides – Chondola:
Take the last ride of the season up Sunday River’s Chondola to North Peak. The Chondola is dog, kid, and grandparent-friendly, so you’ll want to pack up your whole family for this scenic adventure. Lift rides are available from 10AM-4PM on Saturdays and Sundays from early July to This Weekend, October 10. You can buy tickets online in advance, but will need to pick up your tickets upon arrival. You can also purchase tickets on-site at South Ridge Lodge. Lift tickets will be issued until 3:30PM or until capacity is reached. Scenic Lift Rides – SuperQuad:
The Sugarloaf Outpost Adventure Center will be doing Scenic Lift Rides up Sugarloaf’s SuperQuad every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 4:00pm in October. The SuperQuad will stop spinning for the fall season This Weekend, October 10. Take a ride up the SuperQuad to experience the fall foliage. If you plan to ride the lift back to the bottom, please load before 3:45PM. Please note: The top of the mountain is typically 15 degrees colder than the base, so be sure to bring a warm layer and weather can change quickly often times without warning.
