Sunday River’s Tough Mountain Challenge
The Tough Mountain Challenge, happening Saturday, July 27, has been the most popular and most fun adventure obstacle race in New England since 2010. Set in the mountains of Maine, Tough Mountain delivers mud, sweat, and beer to 3,600 competitors every year. Spanning over three miles with 20+ obstacles, this is no easy race. Are you tough enough to complete the challenge?

Carly Pearce At RHW:
Carly Pearce will be taking the stage at Rangeley Health and Wellness on Saturday, July 27. The concert is expected to last from 6:00-9:00 and gates open at 4:00pm. Learn more and purchase your tickets below.

Sunday Brunch At The Nest:
Take a ride up the Rangeley Quad on Sundays for Saddleback’s Sunday Brunch. The Nest is Saddleback’s Mid-Mountain Lodge and at 3,600+ feet, you’re guaranteed to have amazing views. Nick Casey Band Live At Saddleback:
On Thursday, August 15th, Saddleback welcomes the Nick Casey Band. Hailing from the state of Rhode Island, Nick has been performing all throughout New England for over 10 years. Presented with the award for “Male Performer of the Year” at the 2023 New England Music Awards. Tickets are $15 for children and $20 for adults. Plus, the South Branch Quad will be spinning as Thursday doubles as an extra mountain biking day. Purchase your ticket and learn more by clicking the link below.

Trails In The Valley:
Lace up your running shoes and drive to Lost Valley tonight for their first Trails In The Valley event, a weekly running club that takes place every Friday at 6:00pm. Led by their experienced leaders, Paula & Jason, this group trail experience is absolutely free and open to all. Learn more about this event on their website, linked below.

Eastern States Cup At Sugarloaf:
Get to Sugarloaf for the weekend of August 17 and 18 for this exhilarating event. The Eastern States Cup brings the most talented mountain bike riders to Sugarloaf, as part of a bigger tour, to compete against some of the best. Scenic Lift Rides:
Scenic Lift Rides are now open at Sunday River, Saddleback, and Sugarloaf! Take a ride up Sunday River’s Chondola, Saddleback’s Rangeley Quad, or Sugarloaf’s Whiffletree to enjoy awesome views of the surrounding mountains. Statewide Lift Construction:
Across the state, there are three mountains that are installing chairlifts. Pleasant Mountain is installing a refurbished Doppelmayr High-Speed Quad, BigRock Mountain is installing a new Doppelmayr Quad, and Lost Valley is installing a used Hall Double Chair.
Please Note: Due to lift construction, hiking at Pleasant Mountain is currently prohibited.

Last Chair:
What a great week to be spent in the mountains of Maine. The cool mountain air served as nature’s fan to provide a great breeze. As we roll into a perfect weekend, don’t skip on those events happening!

Wow! What a wonderful weekend! We’re forecasting temps in the high 70’s with sunshine on tap all weekend long. It’s going to be perfect for the concert at the Rangeley Health and Wellness Center or the Tough Mountain Challenge. If you’re going to pass on those events, take some time to be outdoors!
