Opening Days:

With the days getting shorter and the new month in the calendar, everyone is thinking about getting back on snow. For some, that was yesterday, for most, it will be either later in this month or in December. Keep an eye on these opening dates:

Statewide Lift Construction:

Across the state, there are three mountains that are installing chairlifts. Pleasant Mountain is installing a refurbished Doppelmayr High-Speed Quad, BigRock Mountain is installing a new Doppelmayr Quad, and Lost Valley is installing a used Hall Double Chair.

Please Note: Due to lift construction, hiking at Pleasant Mountain is currently prohibited.

Pleasant Mountain:

As of Mon, November 18

On Monday, Pleasant Mountain shared a photo to Facebook showing the progress on their new race building, but also showed the work being done on the lower terminal. This is really starting to look like a lift!

BigRock Mountain:

As of Mon, October 21

On Monday, BigRock posted some photos of their new chair getting a load test with boxes filled with water to simulate people. You can also see some technicians from Doppelmayr working on the programming side of the new Doppelmayr Connect system.

Lost Valley:

As of Fri, November 22

On Friday, Lost Valley posted a photo showing the final concrete poor of the season, the bottom terminal.

Last Chair:

With the cold temps we had this week, snowmaking crews were able to crank out that white gold, getting us closer to the next round of opening dates, Saddleback (12/6) and Pleasant Mountain (12/6). Keep an eye on our Resort Status page to be the first to know about opening and snowmaking information.

Weather:

We’re waking up to new snow across the state! Sugarloaf just posted a total of 14 inches, and more resorts are waking up to . Keep an eye on the Mountain Lift Status page as new snow with cold snowmaking weather means new lifts and new terrain!
