Downeast Ski Club Ski Sale & Winter Expo:
Head on down to the Portland Expo at Park Ave in Portland on November 29 for their annual Ski Sale & Winter Expo. The Doors open at 8:00am and the sale goes until 3:00pm. Admission is free and the deals can be had all day long. Learn more using the link below.
Saddleback Opens Next Friday:
Saddleback will open for the season next Friday, December 5. For a complete list of trails and when the mountain will open, check out the mountain report using the link below.
Pleasant Mountain Opens Next Saturday:
Pleasant Mountain, Boyne’s third mountain in Maine, will open for the season next Saturday, December 6. Keep tabs on their mountain report page for a complete idea of what opening day looks like in Bridgton. Click the link below.
Demo Day at Sugarloaf:
Sugarloaf will be offering a Demo Day next, Saturday, December 7. For a small fee, you can test out various skis from Völkl, Atomic, Stöckli, Nordica, VAN DEER, Blizzard, Winterstick, and more. Get in on the action by clicking the link below.
Sugarloaf Tree Lighting:
Santa will be coming to town on Saturday, December 13, accompanied by Amos & friends. Sugarloaf will kick off vacation week and spread the holiday cheer with warm treats, music on the beach, fireworks, and more! Read more and see all the activities by clicking the link below.
Santa Sunday:
Join Sunday River and over 300 other Santas as they cruise down South Ridge to support a great cause. Santa Sunday is on Sunday, December 14 and all the proceeds go to the River Fund, a non-profit organization that supports youth education and recreation in the Bethel area. Last Chair:
Snowmaking continued through the early parts of the week, but came to a screeching halt when temps that were closer to 50 degrees came to town. Thankfully, we’re watching it briefly return to normal this weekend.
Weather:
Briefly is the big name this weekend. Look at those forecasted temps. We’re looking forward to a nice little dip in the weather, which will allow the snowmakers to get back out… but briefly. It’s looking like we’ll have another warmup starting Sunday night and continuing throughout the early part of next week.
